Image processing basics (Part 2)
Last week we discussed that for a computer, a digital image is just a set of numbers (so called pixels) in a specific order. This week, we look into the second topic of the series:
What is a pixel and what is a bit/byte?
Pixels are built from three numbers put together, resulting in a specific colour on your screen. These pixel numbers are stored in bytes, which are units of digital information. Bytes on their turn, consist of 8 bits.
