Image processing basics (Part 3)
In order to understand forensic enhancement software, it is important to have some basic image processing knowledge. In this series of five blogposts, we will explain more about basic terms that are at the roots of forensic image and video enhancement.
In this third week, we will answer the following question:
What is an image histogram?
A histogram can be used to plot the pixel values of a certain image. It is an easy way to show how the pixel values of an image are distributed, and also to see how light/dark the image is.
