Reseller in the spotlight

In this series of blogposts, we have had the opportunity to ask our resellers from all over the world some questions. Their answers will give us more insights in their company, activities, the collaboration with Foclar and their outlook on the future of digital forensics.

In this reseller profile, we would like to shine a spotlight on our American reseller: Teel Technologies

Could you tell us about your company?

Since 2006, our mission at Teel Technologies is to provide the best tools, training and services for professionals tasked with investigating mobile devices and digital media. With a focus on the total lab establishment, training in all skill levels, as well as applying our extensive experience and expertise in our services offering, we provide a comprehensive approach to all clients, to meet their specific requirements.

Our unyielding credo of maintaining the highest level of integrity and quality ensures our customers are provided with the best service and support in the industry. Teel Technologies is registered with the Small Business Administration.

Which country/countries are you active in, and which markets do you operate in?

Teel Technologies USA was founded in Norwalk Connecticut, USA. Our partner Teel Technologies Canada is based in British Columbia, Canada. Together we work with law enforcement and government agencies across North America, Europe, and the Middle East.

What kind of training or other services you offer next to selling the products?

What got Teel Technologies off the ground in the Mobile Forensics community was our JTAG, Chip-Off, and ISP courses which are needed for when your usual software and tools aren't enough. Since then we have expanded into courses using flasherboxes, programming for forensics, and collaborating with our partners to create courses for their tools.

What do you think that is unique about Foclar?

What excites us about Impress is how robust a tool it is at enhancing video footage. The tools and filters built into Impress make cleaning up footage a breeze and it goes beyond what your typical video editor would be able to do to enhance footage.

What are the biggest challenges in the digital forensic market?

Encryption continues to be a challenge for the market as more devices adopt it and older techniques to access these devices become obsolete. The challenge in finding new ways to access these devices and exploring what else is possible keeps us engaged.

What is your view on future developments in the digital forensic market?

The future of video forensics and Foclar's role in that is certainly going to be more critical in the future. More and more footage is being captured every day not only security cameras but from every day smartphone users. We are also looking forward to new developments for combatting deepfake technology as it continues to improve at the pace that it is going.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer some questions for us!
